A mammoth crowd have today welcomed former FDC presidential candidate Rt. Col Dr. Kizza Besigye in Ibanda municipality as he continues with the vote hunting for FDC aspirants in the newly created municipality.
Besigye who was flanked by party president Engineer Patrick Amoriat Oboi were joined Vincent Kyamadidi, Buhweju county member of parliament Francis Mwejukye among other were welcomed by sea of people.
At the rally the former party president asked cheering crowds to vote for flag bearer Alex Byaruganga for Ibanda municipality MP seat so as their views can be represented in the august house.
He also also asked them to resist state intimidation and voter bribery by the state agents. He reminded them to vote for a person who will be their servant but not master.
Besigye the four time presidential candidate also reminded the voters to be vigilant and protect their votes to prevent their victory from being robbed by NRM.
He urged residents to turn up in big numbers and send clear signals to regime against recently amended age limit act which he said is unconstitutional.
Party president Patrick Oboi told the voters to use their power which is the ballots to demand for development and service delivery from the government by voting FDC
