Former Forum for Democratic Change party president Dr Kizza Besigye has once again commented on his relationship with Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu popularly known as Bobi Wine.
Appearing on CBS Kiriza oba Gana program hosted by Med Nsereko, the four time presidential candidate said the government had planned several sinister plans against him but managed to survive.
He added he has always spoken to Bobi Wine long before he became a member of parliament and they continue to talk regularly since their friendship predates Bobi Wine coming to politics.”
He added that his relationship with Bobi Wine is a bad news to NRM whose agents mostly using CBS and NBS TV have concetrating on creating a wedge between him and Bobi Wine.
He stressed that any misunderstandings between him and Bobi Wine should in anyway be be avoided because it will weaken rather than strengthen the opposition.
He reveals that the government tried to use both Arua and Bujiri municipalities by-elections to try to split them but their attempts were are futile.
“But because as I told you the system has almost collapsed, there is nothing they can plan without the same leaking to us. We get to know. In the case of Arua, the plan was to kill Bobi Wine and then immediately arrest me and charge me with being complicit in that murder,” Besigye stated.
He added: “It was a serious plan and all was being planned by the state but the bullet caught Yasiin Kawuma the driver. They had even hired a mob that would raid my home in Kasangati and burn it down. The world would be told those are Bobi Wine’s supporters avenging his murder by Besigye.”
He added that opposition has infiltrated the state operatives and institutions like the police adding that it has become increasingly difficult for Museveni to government the country.
“You see Mr. Museveni keeps talking about Kawukumi in the security forces but he doesn’t know how it got there. I can tell you it’s as a result of our successful efforts to infilitrate the system that Mr. Museveni sees Kawukumi everywhere he turns,” he noted.
Besigye said he has survived all these and many other traps by the state not because he is personally very smart but because of God’s grace.
