Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has given hope to his supporters during the recently concluded Kyarenga concert.
Although Bobi Wine was warned prior to the Kyarenga concert not to go the political way and to separate his political self (Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi) from the musician, the political man in Bobi Wine showed up more than the musician.
From the dress code to the freestyle bars Bobi Wine was throwing, it was as political as it could get. Pseudo names such as ‘Bosco’ dominated the singer’s lyrics and the fans went wild when he sang the gospel song ‘Engule’ giving fans hope that when People Power takes the mantle in Uganda, Ugandans will wear the golden crown in celebration.
The concert was attended by hundreds of supporters who cheered the vocal legislator as he performed at his one Love Beach Busabala.
In his statement, Bobi Wine urged his supporters to go and register for national identity cards prior to 2021 general elections and ensure that they are eligible to vote come 2021.
