The opposition Democratic Party (DP) has urged political players to avoid extremism; the call follows an attack last week on former FDC president and four-time presidential candidate Kizza Besigye.
DP publicity secretary Kenneth Paul Kakande called for calm and promised to engage Dr Besigye and Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi.
Besigye was last week confronted and attacked by group of people belonging to People Power Movement headed by Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssemtamu popularly known as Bobi Wine.
The group attacked the founding president of Forum for Democratic Change Dr. Besigye asking him to support Bobi Wine in the forthcoming election.
