FDC accuses NRM of holding secret meeting with its party members

Opposition Forum for Democratic Change party has said there is a plan by some FDC members of parliament to fail the party.

According to Besigye aide Ronald Muhinda, some of the party members held a secret meeting with NRM officials at an hotel in Naguru with aim of undermining the new opposition cabinets.

“There was a meeting at Forest Cottages Naguru involving three Senior FDC Mps (Names withheld for obvious reasons), two NRM MP (Ogwang and Tusiime) and former FDC Deputy Treaaurer Anita Among (I still recall her interview in Observer why she works with Museveni).” Muhinda said.

Muhinda claimed the MPs discussed plans on how to fail the new cabinet which was announced by party president last week.

“The MPs discussed new appointments by FDC in parliament and how to fail them.
After watching the submission of Kasese Municipality MP Centenary remarks on NTV’s Fourth Estate about the changes in leadership at parliament by Patrick Oboi Amuriat, I am now convinced plans are underway to sabotage or fail the appointments. Clearly Centenary is disgusted by the new leaders.” He added.

The new opposition cabinet has generated a lot of debates among both the of party members and other political parties as well.

In the reshuffle, FDC president Patrick Amoriat Oboi replaced the Leader of opposition in Parliament Winnie Kiiza with Gulu district Woman MP Betty Aol Ochan.
