Members of parliament on the defense committee were on Tuesday in Lira district to assess and anylise security situation following days of riots and attacks on Asian traders.
The lawmakers met the team comprising of both security commanders, Lira district officials and Indian communities at the district chambers.
The meeting comes after the residents in Lira engaged security in running battles following the brutal murder of 11 year old Dicken Okello.
Okello was allegedly killed by businessmen of Asisn origin who have been operating in Lira town.
The two Asians has been charged and remanded to prison by Lira Chief Magistrate Court.
