President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has told people of Koboko that his government will deliver his promise to the people of Uganda all pledges made by him.
The president cautioned the residents against falling for opposition lies emphasizing that they (oppositions) have nothing to offer.
” I used to have many debts with you but am finishing them. One of the debts was to get you from Congo and South Sudan and this was paid long ago. The debt of the road from Kampala to here (Koboko) was also paid. The debt we remained with was for electricity which was handled and with Karuma Dam, we are going to bring you stronger and reliable power,” the president said.
He thanked the residents for supporting NRM government and voting massively for the party.
“I thank you for supporting my candidature. We are going to do many good things in the days to come,” Museveni said.
He blasted Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine whom he accused of trying to devide the country on age group line.
“By making the constitution flexible, you are doing the wise thing. Those people who don’t know what they are talking about, term limits , those are just stupid ideas. Some of those people who do not what they are talking about think leadership is food.Leadership in Africa is war, there are so many things to do. The more people you have available, the better. You have an old man of 75 who can help, why would you say he should go?” The president wondored .
Quoting the bible Museveni said Jesus told his disciples “If it wasn’t so, I would have told you”.
In what appeared to attack on Bobi Wine, Museveni said NRM will defeat oppositions in the next election because they (oppositions) do not ideology advising to concentrate on making noise.
