Police and army has today Wednesday morning raided hotel in which Bobi Wine spent a night in and arrested dozens of JEEMA supporters.
Asuman Basalirwa home was also raided in an operation which the eye witness in the area said involved combinations of army and police.
Basaliwa’s team has come out to condemn the action of security forces saying it undermines the value of democracy and human rights in the country.
JEEMA party has however released the names and identity of those who were arrested by security personnel during the operations.
Today at around 3:00 am – 3:30 am, security operatives surrounded The planet hotel Bugiri in which Bobi Wine who is leading campaign team of Basalirwa was living in ans arrested several members of Bobi Wine team.
JEEMA party which Basilirwa is party president has said the arrest was made to intimidate their supporters ahead of Friday poll.
The following Basalirwa Task Force members were arrested in the wee hours of Wednesday (3-3.30am) from their respective hotels in Bugiri by a combined SFC and Police squad. Their whereabouts are unknown. The party added

7) Ssenyange Joseph
8) Katongole Julius
9) Kim Njuba(Bobi’s aide)
10) Roy Ssembogga(former guild president Makerere Univrsity)
11) Andrew Natumanya
12) Sulaiman Kakooza
13) Plus two ladies whose identities are yet to be verified.
It should be remembered that today id the last day of campaigns. All the candidates are holding their last rallies and president Museveni is expected to be in Bugiri to prop up NRM candidate.
