Mr. Enoch Buntu the national youth treasurer of the ruling NRM party has gone missing for more than a month after being kidnapped by unidentified people from his home in Namugongo on 9th July at about 5:00 am in the morning.
Mr. Buntu previously worked with detained former IGP Kale Kayihura as his aide. According to family members, he was arrested by about eight people who were wearing UPDF uniforms and were heavily armed. His were abouts is still not known from the time of his arrests raising suspicion that he could have beendetained along side Kayihura and his former allies who were arrested by military from various parts of the country.
Efforts by relatives to trace him from various police station has yielded no results. Those who witnessed the incident said his captors started taking cover around his home at around midnight until 5:00 am when they forcefully gained access into his homes and captured him.
Eye witness said upon gaining access to his home, the gunmen believed to be security operatives confiscated his phones, searched his house and drove him away in salon car believed to be Ipsum.
Police denied knowledge of his arrests and have asked the family members to report the case so as to help with the investigation.
The incident came after several wave of kidnap rocked the country especially Kampala and its surrounding with dozens killed especially after failing to pay the ransom while those released paid big price in terms of ransom.
