Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party leaders spent the better part of Friday last week in western district of Isingiro in a move to recruit more people into the Uganda largest opposition political party.
The leaders that includes Dr Kiiza Besigye, Mugisha Muntu, Ingrid Turunawe, Vincent Kyamadidi, Rukungiri municiparlity MP Ronald Kaginda among others addressed huge rally at Bukanga County where they urged the locals to join the struggle to liberate the country against Museveni leadership.
They also attended swearing in ceremony of Aaron Turahi who was recently elected as mayor for Endiizi Town Council on FDC ticket becoming the first FDC elected leader in the district which is dominated by NRM.
Besigye challenged the people to join the struggle for change and not to remain as spectators while majority of the rest of the country are leading the struggle to liberate the country from the jaw of three decades NRM rules.
Excited residents collected thousands of shillings to help Besigye and his team in the struggle against Museveni regime.
Secretary for Mobilization Ingrid Turinawe urge residents to recruit more people in joining FDC so that Museveni is sent home once and for all.
She told residents not to join the struggle in anticipation of getting money but liberate the country for the future generations.
Muntu on his part urged the people of Isingiro not to be intimidated by state agents like police, RDC, Military emphasizing that the citizens are supreme above everyone.
Kyamadidi told the locals that the NRM government is full of corrupt and self-seeking individuals who do not care about the plight of the local population.
