Teargas rocks Kangulumira in Kayunga district where Bobi wine had gone to preside over youths day celebrations .
Supporters of Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi well known by his stage name Bobi Wine were on Sunday teargassed by police as he was holding procession a long with his fans on his way back to Kampala.
Bobi Wine had gone to preside over Catholic youth day celebrations as chief guest in Kangulumira parish, Kayunga district.
In his speech, Bobi wine called on the young people to unite, work together as brethren and show love for their country and refrain from being splitted by individuals who seek personal interest.
“Youth should embrace love from everyone more especially those whom you don’t agree with politically as one of The way to attract them to the way of your thinking” Bobi said .
He also urged the youths to realise that God has given them an opportunity to make a contribution towards their country and they should make the best of it when they still have the opportunity.
“I didn’t know that I could be allowed to reach because on my way I found many police officers deployed everywhere but I am not scared,” Bobi Wine stressed.
On his way to Kampala crowd gathered, waving and wanted to escort him as they chant _people power” unfortunately police came in an dispersed them using teargas.
Bobi wine condemned police act of teargasing his supporters.” This is the kind of impunity that will end Olutalo nga Luweede.’ he added.Among people who attended youth day celebrations were NRM leaders among others.
