The Inter-party Organisation has on Thursday met at Speke Resort Munyonyo for Dialogue with security top officials and Prime Minister to review the Public Order Management Act.
IPOD chairman Nobert Mao says the summit was intended to thoroughly discuss and analyse the act and also discuss challenges faced by members of the opposition in executing their mandate around the country.
This comes after police blocked singer turned politician Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu from holding his Kyarenga Extra Festival on Easter Monday.
Norbert Mao who is also the Democratic Party President General has vowed to hold a peaceful demonstration in protest of the police brutality against opposition politicians.
Mao says police violated the right to trade and right to equal treatment of the Kyadondo East MP.
The meeting was attended by minister of defence Jay Jay Odong among others.
