Senior presidential adviser on media Joseph Tamale Mirundi has stated that it is not easy to defeat the ruling National Resistance Movement party in any by-elections because all the devils of government converge in one place.
The former presidential spokesperson said biggest loser in all the saga is the Electoral Commission which is constitutionally mandated to organise the country elections.
“Are there provisional registration? When do you register a person?” he wondered while appearing on NBS television on Tuesday.
Tamale Murundi said the electoral body under the leadership of Justice Byamukama has lost all the credibility.
His statement comes after the EC nullified National Resistance Movement and Democratic Party candidates in the Busia LCV chairperson race and declared independent Geoffrey Wandera the winner.
“Politics is not law, politics is credibility,” Mirundi went on.
He added: “It is only in Uganda where a judge could sentence a person to death counselling the board.”
