The former commander of Africa Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) Lt General Jim Besigye Owoyesigire has sternly warned the youth in Uganda against supporting and following Kyadondo East member of parliament Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu also known as Bobi Wine.
Bobi Wine has declared his interest to contest against president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in the next general elections in 2021.
Gen Owoyesigire, says the youths that are rushing to join the MP’s People Power movement are wasting their time.
He labelled the vocal the vocal legislator as a “disorganized” person and lacking the credentials of a head of state.
“He has no vision and couldn’t by any means remove President Museveni from office,” he said.
“At the moment, President Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders are still organized and are not ready to hand over power to disorganized people.”
Gen. Owoyesigire was on Sunday speaking at the requiem service of the Chairman of Basigi Clan in Uganda, Lauben Jack Karamagi at Kagarama Church of Uganda in Bubaare sub county Rubanda district.
Karamagi died on Friday morning at Kigezi Healthcare Foundation (KIHEFO) Anguyu clinic in Kabale Municipality after heart failure.
The General described the deceased as a hardworking and loving educationist who never even went to school but was able to do research on his clan as well as the Bakiga community.
